Who am I?
I am the little girl who wanted the moon,
who's dream it was to play violin.
I am the little girl who got lost on the way.
I am somebody who doesn't quite fit into her cookie-cutter,
who's edges are frayed,
and who's memories are imaginary.
I am loved by many,
hated by some,
and understood by few.
I am the summer runner,
the girl with no shoes and a broken bicycle.
I have ten fingers and i use them to play guitar.
I wear hats and i hate my hair.
I am a poet and i think outside the lines
but I'm afraid i might get lost outside of the box.
I make art, but i wouldn't consider myself an artist.
I smell flowers and dance in the rain
I've fallen in love with music, loneliness
and i get lost inside my own head, let alone a paper bag.
I'm afraid of love,
and spiders
I was born with a broken heart
on the wrong side,
i have harp-like heartstrings and
i know a man who can re-lace my strings
whenever they come loose.
I'm not as alone as i think i am
and someday i'll learn my true name
but for now you can call me
Annabeth.

Strange Mood

Red Bird in the sumac tree, will you watch over us as we sleep beneath the black-eyed susan?
My grandmother died last week and i still haven't cried. I still haven't cried like i know i'm supposed to.
I had a dream last night where my father died in a car accident. I think. And I cried and somebody held me and I cried.
Why can I only dream of crying?
I miss the old playhouse. I miss it and it scares me that it's gone now.
I feel like a stranger...
